  • Randy Feemster named TAPPS 5A-1 Coach of the Year

TCA varsity boys basketball coach Randy Feemster was named the TAPPS 5A District 1 Coach of the Year for 2013-14. This award is voted on by all the coaches in the district. Most often it goes to the coach who wins the district championship. In this case, Randy received the award because of how well TCA competed in a very tough district. His record against the two teams that played for the state championship this year (JPII and PCA) was 3-1. TCA finished the second half of district play going 7-1, beating both JPII and the eventual state champions, PCA. Under Randy, TCA won the state championship in 2009 and was the state runner up in 2010. Randy started at TCA in 2002 as an assistant coach and took over the varsity program as the head coach in 2007. Congratulations, Randy!
