About TCA

Founded on the purpose of educating and developing the whole person for the glory of God, we believe there’s more for us to do than simply teach and ultimately, there’s more for our children to do than simply learn. Within these walls, there’s more than just books and technology, more than just athletics and arts. We invite you to delve into our website and learn more about all that TCA has to offer.

  • History

In 1968, a small group of parents met together to share their common dreams and desires for a new school in Dallas that would better meet the needs of their children. They were committed to building a school where their children could receive a challenging curriculum within a framework of traditional Christian values.

In 1970, their dreams became a reality as TCA opened its doors to eighty students in grades nine through twelve and its first graduating class of one senior. Due to the tremendous interest in the school, Trinity quickly outgrew its rented church facility and looked for a new campus location.

Much to everyone’s surprise, in January 1976, TCA moved to a location far outside the city, the Town of Addison, which at that time, only had a few houses, no water or sewage hook-ups, and plenty of sorghum fields.

As the Town of Addison, Dallas, and surrounding suburbs grew, so did Trinity Christian Academy. Those pioneering families and their children who so selflessly gave of their time, talent, and resources are astounded today to see how the school has grown and developed these past three decades.

Today, Trinity Christian Academy is one of the largest single-campus, PreK-12 schools in the country serving over 1,500 students on a debt-free, 40+ acre campus. The school is fully accredited, K-12, by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. TCA's graduates are accepted to a wide variety of colleges and universities, including the nation’s most prestigious institutions. Our families attend over 197 different churches in the metroplex, representing twenty-two different denominations and religious groups. More than 900 families come to our school from 34 different cities in the Dallas metroplex.

  • What We Believe

    Doctrinal Statement

    A. We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of both the Old and New Testaments, i.e. that the very words of the original Scriptures are infallible and inerrant and that they are our final and absolute authority in every area of life and knowledge.
    B. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three co-equal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
    C. We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and that He is both undiminished deity and genuine humanity in one Person forever.
    D. We believe that God the Holy Spirit is a personal Being who convicts the world of sin and who regenerates, indwells, empowers, guides, and bestows spiritual gifts on believers, and who seals them eternally for God.
    E. We believe that man was created by a direct act of God in His image, not from previously existing life, that all men sinned in Adam (the historical father of the entire human race) and thus incurred both physical and spiritual death, and that all men have inherited a sinful nature.
    F. We believe that Jesus Christ died as substitutionary sacrifice for our sins and that through faith in Him as Lord and Savior, we are declared righteous by God and are eternally secure in Christ.
    G. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, totally apart from human merit, and that the experience of regeneration produces a new creature in Christ.
    H. We believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead – physically and bodily – and that He ascended in like form into heaven, where He continually ministers as our Great High Priest and Advocate.
    I. We believe that this age will be consummated by the literal, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to this earth.
    J. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
    K. We believe that all believers are under the mandate of Jesus Christ to proclaim the Gospel to all the world.
Our Doctrinal Statement does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs and teachings. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God, speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality and the proper conduct of mankind and is the sole and final source of all that we believe and teach. For purposes of faith, doctrine, practice, policy and discipline, the TCA Board of Trustees designates the Headmaster as TCA’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.

Statement of Sanctity of Human Life
We believe and teach human life begins at conception. All human life is sacred, created by God in His image and should be protected.

    Statement of Marriage & Gender
We believe and teach that the term marriage is limited to an exclusive covenant relationship between a man and a woman, as set forth in the Bible (Gen. 2:18-25). We believe and teach that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5).

We believe and teach God created each person in His image as male or female and assigned each their sex at birth. Any rejection of or attempt to change, alter or disagree with one’s biological sex or gender, whether physically or otherwise, is a rejection of God’s creation (Gen. 1:27). We believe and teach the pronouns used to identify an individual is based upon his/her biological sex assigned at birth by God.

  • A Diverse Community

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity.” Psalm 133:1
Trinity Christian Academy has been established for the purpose of “educating and developing the whole person for the glory of God.” Within this calling is the mandate to not only respect diversity, but to reflect it, as well. Christ intends for us to be a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-national body of believers. We believe it is our purpose, therefore to create an environment in which all believers, regardless of race, color, national origin, economic status or physical ability, can pursue knowledge and personal development as they strive to become all God intends them to be. We are committed to establishing a diverse community composed of believers who are united in their devotion to Jesus Christ, in their obedience to His Word, and in their willingness to serve one another.

In order to maximize the learning of students and expose them to the diversity that exists in the culture at large, we seek to foster an understanding and appreciation of those elements in every culture, which enhance human dignity and are consistent with scriptural teaching. We are dedicated to expanding opportunities for Christians of all cultures, and ethnic backgrounds to attend Trinity Christian Academy, to be employed here, and to participate in the fellowship and mission to which we are called.
