About TCA

Founded on the purpose of educating and developing the whole person for the glory of God, we believe there’s more for us to do than simply teach and ultimately, there’s more for our children to do than simply learn. Within these walls, there’s more than just books and technology, more than just athletics and arts. We invite you to delve into our website and learn more about all that TCA has to offer.

Philosophy

“Educating and developing the whole person for the glory of God” (Colossians 2:8)

History

Founded in 1970, TCA was started by a small group of parents who were committed to building a school with a strong curriculum within a framework of traditional Christian values. TCA opened with 80 students, grades nine through twelve, and its first graduating class had one senior. In 1976, the growing school moved to the Town of Addison, which at the time only had a few houses, no water or sewage hook-ups and plenty of sorghum fields.

Today, TCA is one of the largest, single-campus, preK-12 schools in the country, serving over 1,400 students on a 40+ acre campus. The school is fully accredited, and TCA graduates are accepted to a wide variety of colleges and universities, including the nation’s most prestigious institutions. Our families attend over 197 different churches, representing 22 different Christian denominations and religious groups.
