Happy New Year and welcome to 2021! Were you as excited as I was to leave 2020 behind? 2020 presented SO many challenges, and for many of us navigating life with children, work and COVID left us depleted, our tanks on empty and frankly discouraged. We all need encouragement to keep us going – it’s something that’s important for our overall emotional and spiritual health. And in fact, encouraging one another is something we are called to do in scripture, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25

This year to encourage parents in our TCA community we are launching a new series of eBlasts and blog posts under the name Trojan Voice. Each Sunday you will receive an eBlast from TCA with a short note of encouragement written by a TCA parent. You will also see this information on our social media channels and a blog on our website. We hope you will find these posts beneficial as we seek to encourage one another.

We’ve got a great line-up of TCA parents to kick-off 2021. Watch for the first Trojan Voice on Sunday, January 10, with David Rea, pastor of Providence Presbyterian Church. I invite you to join us as we encourage one another!

Kristina Spears is the Director of Marketing and Communication at TCA. This is her seventh year in the Communications Department. She and her husband Lane are long-time TCA parents and have three children Caroline ’20, Preston (11th) and Katie (7th).
