Tuition Assistance
STA APPLICATION INFORMATION
The TCA student tuition aid (STA) program is a needs-based program designed to help families with various levels of need. Last year, TCA awarded over $1.7 million in student tuition aid. The STA program does not provide full scholarships, as it is healthy for each family to invest in their child’s education. However, the STA program does provide significant scholarships for families with a high level of need. To be considered for Student Tuition Aid, a student must be accepted for admission or currently enrolled at TCA.
If you would like to apply for STA for the 2024-25 school year, please reference the “How to Apply” document to the right. If you have any questions regarding the STA application, please contact Karla Self at kself@trinitychristian.org. All financial aid applicants are required to submit an application and provide various tax documents.
STA GUIDING PRINCIPLES
In considering STA applications, the STA committee strives to obtain the financial “big picture” for each family. As a result, all assets, liabilities, income and discretionary spending is considered to determine the financial need for each applicant. Student Tuition Aid is awarded based upon financial need in accordance with TCA's policies/practices and the amount of available funds. However, poor academic performance or citizenship could be a sufficient reason for not granting tuition aid. STA applicants must provide extensive information on their financial position and spending, including but not limited to:
- Prior year federal income tax return and related schedules, and Form W-2’s
- Total income for prior year and projected income for current year
- Bank account balances
- Retirement/401K/IRA balances
- Home market value and mortgage balance
- Vehicles make and model and related debt/lease payments
- Credit card and other debt amounts
- Amounts spent on discretionary items (e.g. summer camps, sports/music lessons, vacations, country clubs, etc.)
If you have questions on the STA guidelines and/or wish to discuss your financial numbers prior to beginning your STA application, please contact Karla Self.
