Russell Betts, known as “Doc” by the TCA students, started at Trinity in 1999 as a contract athletic trainer with Baylor Sportscare located in the Tom Landry Center. Mr. Betts joined TCA as the full-time athletic trainer in 2003. He graduated from New Mexico State University where he earned a BS in athletic training. While employed by Novacare Rehabilitation and taking graduate classes, Mr. Betts and his wife, Pammie, relocated to Dallas in 1997. Mr. Betts and his wife have three daughters. The oldest two have graduated from TCA and the youngest attends TCA.

Don English, Athletic Director, joined TCA in 2012, following thirty-two years in public education. He and his wife, Beverly, have been married forty-one years and have three adult sons. They are members of The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson. Don is a graduate of The University of Texas where he was a member of the UT Baseball Team and served as a Young Life leader at Austin Reagan High School. He received his master’s degree in Educational Administration from East Texas State University, now known as Texas A&M University at Commerce. His life verse is 2 Corinthians 5:21, “God made him (Jesus), who knew no sin to become sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God.”

Paula Hardick joined TCA in June 2019. She graduated with a BS in biology from Southern Methodist University. She spent ten years in the grocery industry with Safeway stores. She then moved into the telecom industry working as aa systems installation engineer for Ericsson. She took a short sabbatical to raise her children and returned to the workforce in 2012 as an athletic administrative assistant at a private school in Dallas. She and her husband, Tom, have four grown children and both enjoy outdoor activities.
