Application Process

Admission Policy

In keeping with Trinity Christian Academy’s mission of offering Christian families a demanding college preparatory curriculum within a Christian community committed to integrating biblical faith and learning, TCA considers the following: 
  • Families who are growing in their personal Christian walk and involved in their local church. Trinity Christian Academy requires that at least one parent be a Christian. Students in grades 9-12 must also be Christians.
  • Students whose academic records demonstrate proven capability to succeed in our program. Therefore, students’ records will be carefully evaluated prior to acceptance. Trinity requires that students score at grade level or above on the admission test.
  • Students whose recommendations show a behavioral history that is in harmony with the behavioral expectations of Trinity Christian Academy.

Admission Process

The application deadline to be considered for the first round of decisions is January 11, 2019. Decision letters for first round applicants will be mailed by March 1, 2019. All applications received after January 11 will be reviewed and considered on a rolling admission basis.

  • Application Fee (Non-Refundable)

    $125 application fee for grades preK-12. The application is not complete without the application fee.
  • Admission Testing

    A brief student observation and an on-site assessment are required. Upon receipt of your application, the Office of Admission will schedule your child's group observation date and notify you by email.

    Kindergarten – Fourth Grade
    Two evaluations are required and scheduled September through February:
    • Evaluation I is administered individually by Collaborative Academic Testing Services (CATS), and test results may be shared with other schools to which the child is applying. The cost of the testing ($290) is not included in the application fee. You must contact CATS directly to schedule your one-on-one testing. Please visit their website at to register. The CATS test is scored according to a very specific age-based scale. Please do not wait to schedule the CATS test, as spaces are limited. CATS test fee waivers are available on a case-by-case basis.
    • Evaluation II is taken on a Saturday in a group setting at TCA. This observation is a series of group and individual tasks and activities. The observation dates are Saturday, January 12 or Saturday, February 2, 2019.
    Grades 5-12
    Trinity Christian Academy uses the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). For ISEE information and registration, please call 1-800-446-0320 or visit the website at TCA's ISEE test dates are Saturday, January 12, and Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 7:30 a.m. to noon. 
  • Application Form

    Complete the application form online. *Students applying for preK must be 4 years old on or before September 1 of the entering year. Students applying for kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the entering year. PreK and kindergarten applicants must be able to care for their restroom needs independently.

  • Teacher Recommendations

    Teacher recommendation forms must be given to the applicant’s teachers at his/her current school. The teachers then forward the completed evaluations directly to Trinity Christian Academy. Recommendation forms will be found on the candidate checklist once the application is submitted. The forms may be downloaded and printed from the checklist. Completed forms may be faxed, emailed or mailed directly to the Office of Admission.
  • Pastor Recommendation

    This form must be completed by your pastor, pastoral staff member, Sunday school teacher, Bible study leader or elder. The completed form is forwarded directly to TCA from the pastor. The Pastor Recommendation form can be found on the candidate checklist once the application is submitted.
  • Parent and Student Interviews

    Parent interviews are required for parents of students applying for all grades. Both parents are required to be present for the interview. Students applying for grades 5-12 will also be scheduled for an on-campus interview. The Office of Admission will contact you to schedule a meeting date and time.
  • Parent Questionnaire

    Complete the questionnaire found in the online application.
  • Student Questionnaire

    Students applying for grades 7-12 must complete the student questionnaire found in the online application.
  • Photograph
