  • Joyce E. Millet Endowment for Student Tuition Aid

William E. “Bill” Millet served on the TCA Board of Trustees from 1974-1985 and the TCA Foundation Board from 1984 to present.  Bill is fondly referred to as the “Father of Student Tuition Aid.”  He began the first scholarship fund in 1974 and has been devoted to raising needed funds for STA for over 40 years.  In 1985, the Joyce E. Millet Endowed Student Tuition Aid Fund was established by Bill and the TCA community in honor of Bill’s late wife, Joyce.  Since inception, 41 designated scholarship funds have been established within the endowment.

A portion of the earnings from the endowment is distributed each year to provide Student Tuition Aid to help current students continue at TCA when their families encounter unexpected difficulties, such as the loss of a loved one, loss of a job or other financial challenges.  STA helps families who otherwise would not be able to provide a Christian education for their children.
  • The Dr. Trevor Mabery Teacher Enrichment Endowment

Central to the strength and effectiveness of a strong Christian school is its teaching staff.  In 1984, Trinity Christian Academy established an endowment to enhance the quality of classroom instruction and to retain and encourage highly qualified faculty.

On June 28, 1987, Dr. Trevor Mabery, former TCA parent and board member, was fatally injured in a private plane accident.  Dr. Mabery had a passion for supporting TCA teachers and strengthening TCA academics.  To honor his memory, the endowment was named the Trevor Mabery Teacher Enrichment Endowment.  Over the years, several other designated funds have been established within the endowment.

A portion of the earnings from the Trevor Mabery Teacher Enrichment Endowment is distributed each year to provide teachers with professional development opportunities, special merit recognition, or to help meet extraordinary emergency needs.
