At TCA volunteers are the lifeblood of our community, they connect the faculty and staff with the parent community and they assist the school in executing many wonderful events. There is such a wide variety of skills and talents in the parent community here at TCA and they use are used in volunteer positions here on campus every day.

No matter how big or small, every volunteer position is important. Whether you have a lot of time to give or just a little, there is a way to be involved in the TCA community.

Here are just some of the volunteer opportunities at TCA:

  • Lower School parents drive on fieldtrips, bring cookies, assist with Grandparent Days, help in the classroom
  • Middle School parents serve snow cones, assist with medieval fair, drive on field trips
  • Upper School parents make homecoming mums, help with concessions, chair a Junior/Senior Banquet
  • School wide parents serve at receptions, volunteer as Room Mothers, in the Big Blue school store, at Development fundraising dinner and raffle, the golf and tennis tournament, Admission events and the new parent reception
  • Dads opportunities include class parties, field trips, dads club, Men’s bible study, drama set building and grilling at the football games.
Volunteering is a wonderful way to get to know the parents of your child’s class! Being with other moms and dads can give the encouragement and support that we need as parents. When you work alongside other parents you feel even more connected to the TCA community. Signing up is easy, we have a volunteer webpage and all of the signups are electronic.

  • Faculty and Staff Appreciation Luncheon

The Faculty and Staff Appreciation Luncheon honors TCA’s faculty and staff with a wonderful buffet in elegantly decorated surroundings. Parents provide the many side dishes, decorate, set up and serve the food, as well as supervise the students at lunch and on the playgrounds on our teachers’ favorite day of the year.
  • Hospitality Program

The Hospitality Program began in 1995 as a way of helping new families feel welcome. Current TCA “host” families reach out personally to contact incoming families and students in the same grade. They are available to answer questions and to help make the new family’s transition into Trinity as smooth as possible.
  • Mini School Night Receptions and Teacher Meals

Mini School Night Receptions and Teacher Meals are held at each school’s Mini School Night in August and September. This provides a time of fellowship for TCA parents, a time to register for Wall of Prayer and hear from the Athetic Booster Club and about upcoming development events.

  • MPACT

MPACT (Moms Praying And Coming Together) is TCA’s prayer program. Under the guidance of the PTF President, they are responsible for planning the preK-12 monthly prayer meetings.
  • Rebate Programs

Rebate programs create an easy partnership between TCA and Tom Thumb, Kroger and Market Street. Simply by shopping for groceries or buying items through these businesses, a percentage of the dollar amount of your purchases will be given to TCA.
  • Room Mother Program

The Room Mother Program is a volunteer opportunity that benefits  teachers, students, and the entire school. Each year over 100 room mothers coordinate mission projects, class parties, socials, luncheons, teacher and staff appreciation functions, and many other activities. Also, there is a room mother in every grade who coordinates grade-level prayer gatherings. A coordinator for each grade oversees the room mothers and works closely with the PTF Vice President throughout the year. PTF conducts a fall forum for current room mothers and a spring orientation for new incoming room mothers.
  • Uniform Resale

BIG BLUE, the school store, partners with PTF to sell gently used uniforms during the school year. Volunteers in PTF prepare the uniforms for resale.
  • Wall of Prayer

Wall of Prayer is a school-wide ministry that covers each child daily in prayer. Parents are given several names of TCA children and asked to faithfully pray for them using a daily verse guide. You may register on the TCA website, and by September you will be contacted with the names of your students. The TCA website has the scripture verse guide for each day, to pray for a strong wall of protection and blessing around our students and our school.
